Synergistic Success Coach/Organizer Collaborations CD

In this presentation and question-and-answer mode workshop, organizers will be taken on a tour of the ways in which collaboration with coaches can add to their "organizer toolbox," improve their organizing skills, and provide better, broader service for their clients. The organizer-coach collaboration is advantageous to a wide range of clients including (but in no way limited to) adults with AD/HD or chronic disorganization issues. Participants will learn to differentiate between organizing advice and coaching skills. They will also understand how to find and network with coaches who can provide them with an increase in both their client base and the number of pre-qualified clients referred to them. A resource list will be provided along with an inside look at the training, credentials and specialties of the coaching field. Participants will have the opportunity to review client needs and types for consideration of broadened services. The facilitators will share some helpful language to use to open the discussion of collaboration with clients and coaches. Denslow Brown, CPO-CD, MCC, is a veteran Professional Organizer and Coach. Denslow is a past director of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) and is one of the founders of the organizing profession. She has been certified as a Master Trainer by the NSGCD and a Master Certified Coach by the International Coaching Federation; she is the only person to have both (highest) certifications. The chair of NAPO's Quantum Leap Task Force, she received NAPO's President's Award in 2001. Denslow works with individual clients internationally and trains and mentors other professionals in her fields.
