Making Effective & Professional Presentations CD

You will learn effective story-telling and narrative techniques, the art of using gestures and eye contact, the in's and out's of audio-visuals, how to effectively create a PowerPoint presentation, and other tricks of the trade. Janice Marie Simon, M.A., is the Education Specialist for Faculty Development at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. She has a MA degree from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. Ms. Simon has worked as a newspaper journalist in Oklahoma and Texas and as a media coordinator for a public school district before joining M.D. Anderson. At M.D. Anderson, she handles the planning for all of the department's Faculty Development events and offers one-on-one organizing sessions for clients throughout the institution. She has made numerous presentations on organizing both inside M.D. Anderson and at regional and national conferences.
