Employment Opportunities for the Professional Organizer CD

This moderated panel discussion will cover employment opportunities for Professional Organizers, including
how to view your skill set in the larger context of the job market and how to represent yourself to prospective
employees. Judith will reveal the opportunities for finding work as a paid employee utilizing your professional
organizing experience. The panelists are professional organizers who have transitioned into the job market as
an alternative to business ownership or self-employment.
Judith Kolberg worked at Fortune 500 companies in office management after moving to New York City in 1975
In 1987 she became a full-time political organizer. These two careers prepared her for professional organizing
and she founded FileHeads in Atlanta, GA. In 1991 she became director of the National Study Group on
Chronic Disorganization and currently serves as the President of the Georgia Chapter of NAPO. Kolberg is a
knowledge management consultant with the Cadence Group, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia.
