Attachment Theory Childrens Attachment CD

Recent developments in research into childrens attachment have resonance in the issues faced by courts and those who work with families with young children. Evaluators and mediators try to define the attachment needs of the children they deal with and courts try to make decisions that support the childs attachment, all without understanding what the attachment system actually is and how it works. In this workshop, we will define the concept and describe the research into the lasting effects of having secure, insecure or disorganized attachments. We will describe ways to evaluate the childs attachment system and ways to present the findings in a logical and straightforward way to the parents and the court.
