Allegations of Domestic Violence CD

Allegations of domestic violence present enormous complications in contested custody cases. Effective assessment and management in these cases requires knowledge of current research and legal standards, as well as careful structuring of evaluations and interventions to both protect the child and promote resolution of family issues. In this presentation, a multidisciplinary panel will present current social science research, approaches to evaluation and treatment, and an update on legal issues relevant to domestic violence. This program provides 2 hours of credit toward annual update training on domestic violence, as provided for under Judicial Council Rule 5.230.
