Hear "Interim CEO" i-CEO Steve Jobs in his first keynote as he re-takes the helm of Apple and changes the way Apple operates and launches a digital revolution that has changed all of our lives. The crowd goes wild. Steve introduces a new Board of directors to help the turnaround. Hear the Apple faithfuls...(zombies?)...as they screech when he announces a renewed partnership with Microsoft and introduces his pal Bill Gates in a video feed (which was amusing to see live, with the image of Gates on the screen towering over the tiny Jobs on stage. Visions of his big brother 1984 commercial perhaps?) The announcement that Microsoft bought $150. Million worth of Apple stock rocked Wall Street and the computing world and also helped bring back Apple from near death. It also signaled the end of the "us against them" mentality that had been a popular part of the computing culture. He ends with the idea for the "Think Different" campaign. Steve Jobs begins his masterful turnaround of the company that has changed the world. I originally called this session "Saint Steven meets The Devil to Change the World" -- but didn't think it would be too good of a sales pitch so I left it at "Keynote."
